CCICS 2011 Is Held in USTC
The 8th China Conference of Information and Communication Security (CCICS 2011) was held at USTC on June 25th and June 26th. The conference is hosted by USTC and undertaken by School of Information Science and Technology (SIST), USTC and CAS Key Laboratory of Quantum Information. The opening ceremony was addressed by Vice President of USTC, Prof. ZHU Changfei, and was hosted by Prof. YU Nenghai, Dean of Discipline of Information Science from SIST. General Chair of the Conference, CAS Academician GUO Guangcan and Prof. XI Hongsheng, Associate Dean of SIST also attended the opening ceremony.

In the mornings of June 25th and 26th, Prof. GUO Guangcan, Prof. ZHANG Huanguo from Wuhan University, Prof. WANG Qingxian from PLA Information Engineering University, Prof. YANG Shiqiang from Tsinghua University, Prof. QU Qibin from CAS State Key Laboratory of Information Security, Vice President, Dr. SHI Xiaohong from Qihoo 360 Company, CEO of Daoli Company, Dr. MAO Wenbo, and General Desinger of Cloud Computing, Dr. LI Yan from Intel China Research Center were specially invited to give eight reports for the conference.
In the afternoon of June 25th, the conference was divided into four sub-venues with separate topics of Network and Communication Security, Information Content Security, Cryptography and System Security, Quantum Cryptography and Traditional Information Security. In-depth discussion was held in each sub-venue according to its own subject.
Other famous domestic scholars that attended the conference also include Prof. WANG Xiaoyun from Tsinghua University, Prof. HAN Zhen from Beijing Jiaotong University, Vice President, Prof. WEI Sui from Anhui University, Prof. HAN Zhengfu from USTC, Prof. JIA Chunfu from Nankai University, and Prof. SHI Wenchang from Renmin University of China, etc.
Main venue of the Conference
The annual CCICS shows and represents the true level of domestic development of information and communication development. This year, the conference received 143 papers from 69 colleges and institutes, among which 61 papers are accepted by the conference and no less than 15 papers by USTC Transactions.
