SIST Hosts Forum on Multimedia Future Research
School of Information Science and Technology hosted the Forum on Multimedia Future Research in USTC, on May 6th, 2012. Multimedia experts from all over the country gathered together at USTC to discuss the issues of future research directions in multimedia field as well as how to gain world-leading achievements in such directions through collaborative innovation. “USTC Master Lecturer”, Prof. CHEN Changwen, chaired Forum, and CAS Academician, USTC President HOU Jianguo made welcoming remarks to open the Forum.
CAE Academician, Prof. GAO Wen from Beijing University, and Prof. LI Weiping, Dean of SIST, delivered two keynote speeches, entitled “The Practice of AVS Collaborative Innovation” and “Exploring an Approach to Collaborative Innovation in Multimedia Field”, respectively. The insightful forward-looking opinions benefit the participants a lot. The Forum ended in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere.
